Celebrating the Next Chapter at Heirloom Consignment: Our April 25 Ope

On April 25, the team at Heirloom Consignment opened the doors wide to celebrate an exciting new chapter—and the response from the community was beyond anything we could have hoped for.

Throughout the day, more than 250–300 guests visited our showroom in South Portland’s Knightville/Millcreek neighborhood to celebrate alongside us. Longtime customers, first-time visitors, friends, neighbors, and fellow supporters of local business filled the store with energy, conversation, and excitement. Seeing so many people gathered together in the space was a powerful reminder of what makes Heirloom so special: community.

The afternoon felt warm, welcoming, and relaxed thanks in large part to live music from Andrew Favreau, whose performance created the perfect atmosphere for guests to browse, connect, and enjoy the celebration. From discovering unique furniture and décor pieces to reconnecting with familiar faces, the event captured everything we love about Heirloom.

Guests also had the opportunity to participate in raffle giveaways throughout the event, with prizes that included Heirloom gift cards and other fun surprises. We loved being able to give back to the people who continue to support us and help our small business thrive.

More than just an open house, the event represented an exciting milestone for the future of Heirloom Consignment. As the store moves forward under new ownership, our goal remains the same: to offer a thoughtfully curated collection of beautiful, well-made furnishings and décor while continuing to champion sustainability, reuse, and local connection.

For over a decade, Heirloom has been a destination for finding pieces with character, history, and lasting quality. We’re honored to continue that legacy while bringing fresh energy and new ideas to the store experience.
